Wine a little bit, and you'll feel better!

Over the past couple of years, i've become a huge fan of the Virginia Vineyards. I LOOOOOOOOOVE wine tasting!! I've been to a bunch, and thus far I have 2 top favorites. Bluemont Vineyard in Bluemont, VA has the most incredible view around. The vineyard is basically on top of a huge hill, it's got an upper and lower balcony, and it overlooks the blue ridge mountains. I go just for the view!

I even took my parents last summer who have never been to a vineyard, they loved it! With a little bit of munchies of course.

My NEW 2nd favorite vineyard is Chrysalis, located in Middleburg, VA.  I had heard good things from my best friends Linda & Nick Patterson, who are winos like me and have a VIP membership there! (I'm thinking of joining) I went a few weeks ago with my friend Kim Stegmaier on a beautiful day and we had so much fun! The view was pretty (ok, most of the vineyards have beautiful views...but nothing tops Bluemont), and they had a huge wine selection, which was all DELISH! I'm going to have to go back often just to buy my new favorite red wine, the 2005 Norton Estate Bottled, nom!!! Needless to say, we enjoyed ourselves.

You'll probably find a lot of my blog to end up with WINE. It's a favorite hobby of mine, and is truely one of the best things you can do spring/summer/fall with friends. It's a great way to be outside and enjoy the weather, and it's fun tasting new wines!!!

Sunset Hills Vineyard "Life is a Beach" event - March 20, 2010. The wine wasn't as good as we'd hoped, but the wine-o-ritas were a perfect substitute, yum!! Linda brought these wine holders that stick into the ground, genius. I'm definitely buying. We were outside for 8 hours enjoying the first day of spring!
